How Temperature Affects Dissolved Oxygen in Water Malaysia
Water temperature has an important relationship with dissolved oxygen (DO).
In general, colder water can hold more dissolved oxygen than warmer water under otherwise similar conditions. This is one reason why temperature should be considered when interpreting DO measurements in fish ponds, aquaculture systems, rivers and wastewater treatment processes.

As a result, early-morning measurements can provide useful information about overnight oxygen conditions.
The appropriate measurement schedule should be selected according to the aquaculture system, species and monitoring objective.

Temperature is also relevant in shrimp and prawn farming.
Brackish-water aquaculture adds another factor: salinity.

A DO meter still requires correct probe preparation, maintenance and calibration according to the manufacturer's instructions.
