Why Is My Dissolved Oxygen Meter Reading Unstable? Troubleshooting Guide Malaysia

An unstable dissolved oxygen meter reading does not automatically mean that the meter is faulty.

DO readings can fluctuate because of probe condition, calibration, measurement technique, water movement, temperature changes or genuine variations in dissolved oxygen.

1. Allow the DO Reading to Stabilise

  • Record the result only when the reading is suitably stable
