Manhole-to-manhole CCTV inspection is one of the most practical applications for a motorised sewer crawler.
Instead of inspecting only from the opening, the WR030TR 120m Pipe Crawling Robot can travel through a suitable large-diameter pipeline while the operator remains at the access point and monitors the inspection through the tablet control terminal.

What Is Manhole-to-Manhole CCTV Inspection?
The basic concept is straightforward.
A crawler is introduced through one suitable access point and driven along the pipeline toward the next section or access point while recording internal pipe conditions.

For projects where manholes or access points are farther apart, the additional cable provides more available inspection range.
However, an important specification distinction should be maintained:
120m is the supplied cable length β not a guaranteed 120m crawler travel distance in every sewer.
Actual travel depends on the condition and geometry of the pipe.
Before Putting the Robot into the Manhole
A professional inspection should begin above ground.
The manufacturer's manual instructs the operator to check the system before use, including:

At approximately 72m, the operator notices an area requiring further investigation.
Instead of immediately retrieving the crawler:

3. Inspect the surrounding pipe surface
4. Adjust lighting
5. Take photographs
6. Record video
7. Record the meter reading
8. Use the 512Hz receiver from the surface if locating is required
The inspection team now has several pieces of information relating to the same observation.
That is a stronger workflow than relying on video alone.
Monitor Roll & Pitch During Long Runs
The WR030 tablet interface displays roll and pitch angle information.
The manufacturer's instructions specifically tell operators to monitor crawler tilt to prevent overturning.
The manual also warns:
When turning in the pipe, drive slowly to prevent rollover.
Long cable capacity should therefore never be interpreted as permission to drive blindly through difficult pipe conditions.
Crawler stability remains part of the operator's responsibility.
Returning the Robot to Manhole A
Once the inspection is completed, controlled recovery is important.
The manufacturer instructs the operator to switch to the rear-view camera during retreat and coordinate automatic cable winding with the robot's reverse speed.

Important: The Power Supply Box Is Not Waterproof

The power supply box is not waterproof and must be kept dry.

Clean the Robot After Sewer Inspection
The manufacturer's maintenance instructions state that the equipment should be cleaned after use and stored dry.
The manual also recommends quality and measurement inspection / maintenance once a year.
