NOYAFA Cable Tester Accessories to Check Before Site Work Malaysia
NOYAFA Cable Tester Accessories to Check Before Site Work Malaysia
Your NOYAFA cable tester is ready, but are the accessories needed for the job inside the case?
A missing remote, unsuitable test lead or damaged connector can interrupt work even when the main instrument operates normally.
For network installers in Malaysia, a short equipment check before leaving for site helps prevent unnecessary return trips.
1. Bring the Correct Remote Unit
If the planned test requires a remote, confirm that it is compatible with your exact tester model.
Check:
Remote type
Identification number, where applicable
Connector condition
Supported testing function
A remote used for endpoint identification may differ from one used for wiremap testing.
Do not mix accessories from different kits without verifying compatibility.
2. Check the Tracing Receiver
For cable tracing, bring the compatible receiver and check that it operates with the transmitter.
Before departure:
Check power or battery condition
Confirm the required operating mode
Inspect the probe for damage
Confirm a response on a known cable
A working main unit alone is not sufficient for a tracing task that requires a separate receiver.
3. Pack Suitable Connection Leads
Review how you will connect the tester to the cable.
Depending on the instrument and task, you may need compatible patch leads or manufacturer-specified connection accessories.
Check each lead for:
Damaged plugs
Broken locking tabs
Loose connections
Visible cable damage
Only use adapters and leads suitable for the function and permitted connection conditions.
An adapter changes the physical connection; it does not automatically make a test electrically compatible.
4. Keep a Known-Good Patch Cable
A short, known-good patch cable is useful for checking the tester and compatible remote separately from an installed cable route.
If the instrument works with that cable but not with the installed connection, investigate the installed path further.
A known-good cable supports troubleshooting. It does not replace calibration or full performance verification.
Keep it clearly identified so it is not confused with a cable awaiting repair.
5. Prepare Power for the Working Day
Check the power requirements of the main unit and receiver separately.
Depending on the model, prepare the specified:
Charging equipment
Replacement batteries
Power accessories
Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Do not assume both parts of the kit use the same battery type or charging arrangement.
6. Bring Labels and a Recording Method
After identifying a cable, you need a way to preserve that information.
Prepare:
Cable labels
A suitable marker
Outlet or patch-panel references
A notebook or digital job record
Finding the cable solves the immediate task. Clear labelling makes the next maintenance visit easier.
Record both endpoints before updating the connection list.

Confirm the Job Before Packing
Ask whether the task involves wiremap testing, cable tracing, endpoint identification or another measurement.
Also confirm whether cables will be disconnected or remain connected to equipment.
Pack for the actual task rather than assuming every NOYAFA kit includes every accessory required.
