When opposing currents are enclosed within the jaw, their magnetic fields can cancel and produce an incorrect low reading.


Position the conductor near the centre of the jaw and make sure the clamp closes completely.


Why Zero Adjustment Matters


A DC clamp meter detects magnetic fields. The display may not return to exactly zero because of residual magnetism or nearby electrical equipment.

Keep it away from the conductor


Hold it in the intended measuring position
